Bugatti’s Vision Gran Turismo concept looked surprisingly conventional compared to other virtual racers designed specifically for the video game.
By removing the concept’s complex aerodynamic package we’re left with a rather familiar shape that may or may not preview the Veyron’s successor, rumored to be called Chiron.
Photoshop manipulator Remco Meulendijk had the idea to virtually strip the Vision Gran Turismo study of its racing suit and make it look like a production model. He also gave it six different bi-color paint schemes and two alloy wheel designs. The result is interesting, if a little too similar to the Veyron.
The successor to the Veyron will reportedly debut at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show with around 1,500PS (1,480hp) from an alleged hybrid-powered, quad-electric-turbocharged, 8.0-liter W16 engine. The Chiron is expected to cost €2.2 million ($2.45 million), making it €650,000 more expensive than the last batch of Veyron.
