Vintage Volvo wagons were always part of the cool corner in the automotive universe, but how about the tuned examples?

This California-sourced 1968 Volvo 145S is up for sale but instead of being slow and cool, it now punches way harder thanks to a turbo 16v conversion, keeping intact its Swedish Wagon perfection.

The mechanical conversion has been done by professionals and the car has done less than 10,000km (about 6,000 miles) since the build was finished two years ago according to the seller. Judging by the photos, the work under the bonnet looks like a very nice one.

Not everything is perfect though as some rust is mentioned in the listing and the car needs some finishing work as it still runs the stock brakes with performance pads on them among others. Even the Ford Mustang five-speed manual gearbox could benefit from a rebuild according to the owner’s description.

The seller asks for $16,500 CAD (about $12,700 USD) and he is open to sensible offers, with the car being in Vancouver, Canada. Find the ad here, along with the full description.
