To eliminate confusion from the get-go, Wildcat is a separate company that parted ways with Bowler in 2006-2007. They are their own 4×4 specialist and have the manufacturing rights to the Wildcat vehicle which also gives its name to the firm – Wildcat Automotive Limited, to spell it out in full.
We will admit to being a bit perplexed upon seeing the promo video posted below; we remembered Wildcat as having been a Bowler model and the split between the two companies isn’t really that obvious.
So what does Wildcat offer? Well, their vehicle is a development of the original Bowler Wildcat (by the looks of it) which has been updated over the years; it still obviously looks like a hopped up Defender, but that’s never been a bad thing – it’s great, in fact…
The company does its own R&D and promises incremental improvements and new models in the future. It will be quite hard for them to shake off the Bowler connection, since their company and vehicle is called Wildcat (a name which we associate with the former) and their vehicles look exactly like we’ve come to expect Bowlers to look.
Scroll down for the video showing off their complete current lineup of vehicles; it’s also their shout out for new investors too!
