The most expensive Ferrari F40 ever has just swapped hands at auction this past Saturday. The event was organized by Coys at the Nurburgring Oldtimer GP and the new owner ended up paying €1.12 / $1.24 million.
The F40 in question, a 1992 example which had just one owner from new, is in mint conditions and has just 7,879 km / 4,897 miles on its odometer.
While it may sound like a lot, a quick web search reveals that this is about the asking price that everybody wants these days. You really can’t get a good F40 for under for under €1 million, no matter which website you search, be it specialist or not.
The new owner of this most expensive F40 is from Germany, and according to MotoringResearch, the announcement of the final price and the end of bidding was met with applause from those present at the event.
