Here’s another car crashing at the Nurburgring. It never gets old and besides, this is not your typical, “oops, I’ve misjudged the entry speed into a corner and faced the protection barrier”. No, this Golf MK4 R32 bites the dust.

The guy driving it surely didn’t watch the “Top 5 Nurburgring mistakes” video (click on the blue writing), as he would have known that the Wippermann corner is one of the most demanding bends on the Nordschleife.

The elevation, the change of direction and the change of camber upsets the car’s balance and it’s recommended to be very smooth on the section and start braking early. Things the Volkswagen driver omitted.

Okay, okay, I’m overreacting, because the Golf was equipped with a roll-cage, which means the driver wasn’t a track-day newbie. Good thing the car had extra protection, though, as the roll-cage might actually saved his life.

As you can tell by the video, the man escaped unharmed, even if the car was at the mercy of the laws of physics.
