Remember the Seat Exeo, the Spanish Audi A4? What if there was a follow-up to that model, but less of a blatant rebadge?
A donor car for a big Seat could be the recently-unveiled Skoda Superb, which Photoshop manipulator Theophilus Chin has used as a starting point to render a second-generation Exeo. He combined the Superb’s proportions with design cues from the 2011 Seat IBL Concept.
The result doesn’t look bad at all: it’s certainly a lot better than the first Exeo. But a big sedan is not a priority right now for Seat, which is preparing to launch its first-ever SUV.
Previewed by the 20V20 study, the compact SUV should arrive in 2016, sharing the platform with Skoda’s upcoming Yeti. Furthermore, Seat is also considering a B-segment crossover, so a new Exeo is likely to remain just a rendering for now.
