A fleet of Mercedes-Benz GLC test prototypes has been caught on video in Germany with very little camouflage on the outside and fully exposed interiors.
As expected, the successor to the Mercedes-Benz GLK adopts the brand’s new design language, looking like a smaller version of the GLE SUV. The interior shows that it is based on the C-Class platform, as the GLC features a very similar design inside.
The Mercedes-Benz GLC will have a similar engine lineup as the C-Class, including a twin-turbo 4.0-liter V8 in the AMG version.
A plug-in hybrid model will also be available, pairing a turbocharged, 4-cylinder, 211hp 2-liter petrol engine with an 80hp electric motor for a combined output of 275hp and 443lb-ft (600Nm) of torque.
More details will follow on June 17, when the automaker will lift the veils off its new SUV.
