While the Australian-built Quantum GP700 may be described as a visual mishmash of all other similar cars on the market, it is much more powerful than these things usually are.

The 700 in its name indicates its peak power (as well as overall mass in kilograms), which is sent to the rear wheels via a sequential six-speed gearbox.

The engine is a 2.7-liter four-pot with twin superchargers (!) and it pushes the GP700 to 62 mph or 100 km/h in 2.6 seconds and on to a claimed top speed of around 200 mph or 320 km/h. With its standard aero package, it can reportedly theoretically drive upside down in a tunnel and stick, if it’s pushed up to 174 mph or 280 km/h.

Exact pricing specifications are still being worked out, but it’s apparently going to cost around $700,000 with a much cheaper hardtop version to follow.
