Mitsubishi has announced US pricing for the facelifted 2016 Outlander, which starts from $22,995 (excluding destination). The price corresponds to the base Outlander ES 2WD model equipped with the standard 166hp 2.4-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine mated to a CVT.
The starting price is $200 lower compared with the 2015 model, despite the fact that the facelifted Outlander brings “over 100 engineering and design improvements,” as well as refreshed styling. Mitsubishi Outlander’s standard features include new LED positioning lights, 18-inch alloy wheels, LED taillights, automatic climate control, 6 speaker 140-watt AM/FM/CD/MP3 audio system, full-color LCD Multi-Information Display, redesigned steering wheel, as well as improved second-row seating, accent trim, seating surfaces and headliner.
Available safety systems include Forward Collision Mitigation (FCM), Lane Departure Warning (LDW) and Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), all offered for smaller prices than before for the 2016 Outlander SEL and GT models.
Besides the standard 2.4-liter engine, Mitsubishi also offers a 224hp 3.0-liter V6 mated to a six-speed Sportronic automatic transmission with paddle shifters. This engine is reserved only for the GT trim level and comes with all-wheel drive as standard.
