The Batmobile in the upcoming Arkham Knight game adopts an approach new to the series: it features two distinct modes and you also get to drive it around a rather busy Gotham city. Up until recently, we didn’t actually know how the two modes worked, but now we do via few new gameplay videos.
One is an IGN rewind of the most recent trailer released for the game, called ‘Time to go to war’, and a big chunk of it is made up of just driving around the city and some car combat.
This new Batmobile is really agile, as you’ll see it instantly strafes sideways to effectively dodge enemy fire. The developers have also worked around the Batman ethos of avoiding gory violence, so the vehicles you blow up are unmanned drones…
The other video is just an announcement for exclusive PlayStation4 content, but it also shows a Batmobile skin and a bit more gameplay…
