Since stock wheels are often disregarded even by people who drive regular Range Rovers, it’s only natural that a 550 HP SVR version would be caught rocking something custom.
Before we get to the wheels, let’s talk about the first Range Rover Sport that will actually and genuinely rival any other super-fast SUV. The 550 HP also come with 680 Nm (501 lb-ft) of torque and together help the RRS SVR go from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 4.7 seconds.
To put into perspective how big of a leap that is for Land Rover, think about the previous generation RRS with the 5.0 liter supercharged V8. That engine was good for 510 HP and 625 (460 lb-ft) which to be honest, isn’t that far of what the new model has going for it.
Still, it could only get to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 6.2 seconds. Yes, 6.2! That’s one and a half seconds gained through the generations’ switch and without a massive power upgrade. So yes, the weight loss and the faster 8-speed auto (the old model had a 6 speed automatic gearbox) made all the difference in the world.
As for the looks, we already knew that the Range Rover Sport was one of the best looking SUVs in automotive history – and that’s not an exaggeration. We’re actually stunned that it managed to pull off these massive 24″ three piece PUR LX10 forged wheels. SR Auto Group did a great job with this project.
The wheel design is spectacular and really matches the dynamic and modern character of the car. So overall, a pretty fabulous way to make your Range Rover Sport SVR really stand out.
