Dirt Rally is a rally simulation game like none before it. It mixes the latest in graphical technologies with an emphasis on a pure simulation experience – a very uncommon approach.
However, people have been complaining that the cars are far too hard to control in the game, particularly using a keyboard.
A controller like you have on consoles is better, as it allows for finer movements, but what you really want is a setup like this. A proper racing wheel with pedals and a three-screen setup like this to boost the immersion factor.
As you can see, the person playing the game in this way is far more successful at it than some other YouTubers that previously tried. Played like this, Dirt Rally is certainly the challenge hardcore simulation fans have been waiting for, although it will need to keep being played for a while in order to rival with the all-time favorite rally sim Richard Burns Rally (of 2004).
