Whether you like it or not, the Porsche Panamera is a very successful car, in terms of both performance and world wide popularity.
Some people don’t agree with how it looks and we can understand that perfectly since it’s not the most elegant car in the world. In fact it looks a little “rude”, which, you know, is what other types of people like about it.
The two fastest versions you can buy today are obviously the Turbo and the Turbo S. The Panamera Turbo has 519 HP and 700 Nm (516 lb-ft) of torque going for it, which helps it get from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 4.1 seconds. Top speed is at 305 km/h, or 189 mph.
The Turbo S on the other hand, has 570 HP and 800 Nm (590 lb-ft), and that translates into a 3.8 sec 0-100 km/h (62 mph) time, while its top speed is 310 km/h (192 mph).
What’s that you say? They’re both wicked fast? Well of course they are but then what would be the point of taking your luxury car to a luxury tuner such as Gemballa, if they couldn’t turn “wicked fast” into “crazy fast” for you?
Meet the Gemballa GTP 720, where, oh you’ve guessed it, the 720 stands for how much HP it has. So far, it’s electronically limited to 340 km/h (211 mph) and it can hit the 300 km/h (186 mph) mark in just 26.4 seconds.
In fact, it will do 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 3.2 seconds and reach 200 km/h (124 mph) in 9.7 seconds – that’s a full 3 seconds faster than the stock Panamera Turbo! Speaking of the Turbo, the GTP 720 also has around 255 extra Nm (188 lb-ft) of torque available over a wide range of revs.
This means that you don’t have to worry about it being faster than the stock Panameras only in a straight line. The extra torque will help you if you choose to take it out on a track.
Even though we’re not blown away by the exterior color configuration, you can’t argue with speed.
