George Zimmerman made the news again today after an unidentified man shot at his Honda Ridgeline at an intersection in Lake Mary.

Zimmerman, the former Neighborhood Watch volunteer who was acquitted by a Florida jury after shooting and killing Trayvon Martin in 2012, reportedly suffered only minor facial wounds, possibly from flying glass or other type of debris, according to a CNN report.

“He walked normally into the ambulance, so he wasn’t being helped or nothing,” eyewitness Ricardo Berrare told WESH-TV.

Zimmerman’s attorney Don West said the bullet missed his client’s head. “His injuries would be considered minor,” West told reporters. “The bullet missed his head. I think it broke a window and lodged in his vehicle.”

Police spokesman Bianca Gillett said that while there’s an investigation pending, “it appeared to be some type of road rage incident“.

Another eyewitness, Kenneth Cornell, told the news station that while exiting his car at a nearby business, a man allegedly came up to him and yelled, “I shot George Zimmerman, call 911. I don’t have a phone”.

From the reports, it appears that no one else was hurt during this incident.
