The Renault Captur just gained one more diesel engine in its range, with the addition of a more powerful version of the 1.5-litre dCi engine.
The dCi 110 makes 109hp and 260Nm of torque, an increase of 20 hp and 40 Nm over the dCi 90 unit, without sacrificing fuel economy and CO2 emissions, achieving 76.4mpg and 98g/km. The range-topping Renault Captur is not only really frugal on fuel but remains still road tax-free, at least in the UK.
Renault’s compact crossover is competing with cars like the Nissan Juke and Opel/Vauxhall Mokka in an increasingly popular segment and last year topped the sales chart in its segment with 165.130 units. Priced at £17,695, the Captur dCi 110 sprints to 62mph from zero in 11 seconds with a top speed of 109mph.
