It would appear so, although Ferrari itself is reportedly denying it. Autoblog.nl says all LaFerraris are being recalled due to a potential fire hazard; owners are now being notified, or so we’re told.
The Dutch source also features a photo of a half-dismantled example, and TheSupercarKids add another, this one showing Jamiraoquai front man Jay K’s green example with many panels missing.
As for the work that’s reportedly being done on this car, well, it may very well be a paint issue, as speculated elsewhere. Ferrari says that the dismantled cars are simply the result of “regular maintenance,” although it does seem they’re giving special attention to the fuel tank which apparently received an extra coat of paint that does not conduct electricity.
Being the image-driven brand it is, I wouldn’t be surprised if Ferrari did not admit to this being a recall…
