Here’s another video review of the model that sits at the top of the food chain in the Porsche Cayman lineup, the GT4.

This time it’s Autocar’s Matt Prior who has a go in the most hardcore Cayman ever built, both on public roads and on the track. Needless to say, it’s on the circuit that the Cayman GT4 shows its true colors. For years, the Cayman’s cutting edge chassis has been asking for a proper engine and now it finally got one.

The 3.8-liter naturally aspirated six-cylinder boxer unit sourced from the Porsche 911 Carrera S produces 380hp (385PS) in the Cayman GT4 and is exclusively offered with a six-speed manual gearbox – truly a purist’s dream.

The Cayman GT4 sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.4 seconds (0-60 mph in 4.2 s) and reaches a top speed of 295 km/h (183 mph), but more important than these numbers is what the car feels like to drive, which is exactly what the following video review will tell you.
