We always end up enjoying BMW USA spots, as they tend to be witty, funny and informative. As is the case with this “Cute Cottage” spot, which turns out to be more of a holiday gone wrong sort of thing.

The plot is fairly simple. As the couple in the video drives up to the “Cottage”, they’re not particularly impressed with what looks like a very sinister ‘True Detective meets Blair Witch Project” type of setting. They need to back that X3 the heck out of there.

So this is exactly where BMW’s optional ConnectedDrive services and apps come into play. First they use Siri in order to find out more about the made up location they’ve driven to – which is strange since most normal couples research their holiday locations before actually driving there.

Upon hearing the word ‘slayings’, the couple then proceeds to Step 2, which is to call up BMW Services and get redirected to a hotel, as close or as far away as they’d like. Simple, right?

All in all, it’s a funny and effective way to point out how helpful BMW’s ConnectedDrive system can be on the go.
